The International Kite Festival is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in Gujarat every year on 14 January. The festival marks the day when winter begins to turn into summer, which is the sign for farmers that the sun is back and that harvest season is approaching. During the festival, food such as undhiyu, chikki and jalebi are served to the crowds.
