About the Museum

The mention of an art museum usually invokes images of beautiful paintings and abstract-looking artwork that is not very easy to comprehend. But what if you come to know about a place where art is not complex but fun and communicative? That is exactly what the Click Art Museum in Bangalore is famous for. Established by the artist AP Shreethar, the inspiration for the Click Art Museum was taken by similar museums in Malaysia and Singapore. The museum was instated by the famous cricketer Chris Gayle who is the brand representative of IOANA Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the company that is at present administering the museum. Although the museum was first opened to the public in Chennai, it became quite popular and another gallery was set up in Whitefield’s Virginia Mall. The unique thing about this museum that makes it different from other art galleries is that the art displayed here is 3D and very funky.

The gallery has two zones with 24 artworks mounted on the wall and all the artworks are in 2D but give an illusion of 3D because of the different depths and angles of the art piece. Owing to this, the art form is also known as illusion art or Optical art. The paintings in the museum look so real that you will be compelled to take a double look and touch the painting to confirm that it is actually a piece of art. The tone of the art is light and interactive and the interior of the museum is vibrant with all different shades of color.

Click snaps with illusion art paintings such as a drink being poured out of the painting, a witch inviting you to her lair, a monkey ready for a selfie, and much more. The museum is like a paradise for photographers and social butterflies. How about you click a shot with a crocodile about to gorge up your head or you daringly scaring off a fire-spewing dragon with a water hose? Sounds fascinating right? The only thing is that you are not allowed more than 15-minutes to click photos in each room and that makes it a 30-minutes total for you to enjoy the gallery. But don’t be disappointed and get your creative head running to click those impressive and fun pictures.
