Morigaon is a town in the Indian state of Assam and it is also an agricultural district, where vegetables, jute, mustard, wheat, and paddy are primarily farmed, providing a continuous source of income for the locals. Morigaon, sometimes known as Marigaon, is a city in the Philippines that is rich in flora and fauna.

  • Sitajakhala : Sitajakhala is a well-known ancient temple that was unearthed in the final year of the fourth century. The temple is situated on the banks of the River Killing and is embellished with several images of Goddess Sita and Lord Hanuman. Valmiki, according to popular belief, created the stone steps going up to the River Killing for the sake of Goddess Sita. As a result, the stairs were given the name Sita Jakhala.

How to Reach

  • Guwahati airport is around 94 kilometers from Marigaon. It is well-connected to all major airports in the country, and you can either order a taxi or take the local state bus to your destination from there. Marigaon is linked to its neighboring cities and other places in the state via a well-maintained road network. Within the city, both public and private buses run on a regular basis. It is around 70 kilometers from Guwahati and 40 kilometers from Nagaon. Jagi Road Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Marigaon. It is the district's principal railhead and is located on the Guwahati-Lumding Railway Line. Take a taxi or a bus from the station to the town.
